Venice

Venice is one of the most beautiful cities of Italy. Situated in Northern Italy, Venice is composed of almost seventeen small islands. Often touted as the city of canals, Venice is criss-crossed by almost fifty canals, connected by 409 bridges. The most important canal is the Grand Canal. Venice had been established during the 5th and the 6th century AD when due to the barbarian attack, the people of the Veneto region had taken refuge in the marshy lagoons. The mention of Venice brings to mind a very romantic and amorous image. The best way to get along the city is to hire a gondola and travel through the canals. The city has a great history and its contribution to the fields of art, culture, music, architecture and fashion has been phenomenal.

Venice is a prime attraction in Italy experiencing a huge influx of tourists from far and near. With its gradual prominence as an economic hub Venice is a major hunt among business travelers as well.
